Thankful Thursday: Date Night

This is a Thursday series in which I pause and acknowledge something big and important or something small and insignificant that has made me thankful. It is so important and incredibly refreshing to look at the positivity around us, when we are so often surrounded by negativity.
Donnie and I have been really trying to cut back on spending lately. This has resulted in a very difficult and only somewhat strictly followed attempt at spending $10/week on groceries. We are trying to eat food from our pantry, and be creative with things that we always have on hand but don't always think to use.
We've cooked some amazing meals, and that has been fun and lovely. But last night, we had an errand to run in Urbana which took us by one of our favorite places to eat. And we stopped there. And ate. And sat on the same side of the booth. And drank a margarita. And tipped really well.
And we stayed in the car for a while after we got home to continue listening to our book on tape that's in the car. It was a simple evening, but it was fulfilling and lovely.
We didn't take any pictures. So here are some pictures from over a year ago on another date night at this awesome restaurant. If you're ever visiting us, I'll totally take you there and make you try the cashew cream sauce. It is the best.
Look how cute this husband of mine is!

(Also, happy birthday yesterday [which was today when I was writing this] to my great-grandmother Mom Nichols who turned 99, and my brother-in-law Alex who turned the big 3-0! Love you both!]
