I had a blast taking photos with Michael and Bean. I met Michael through Donnie and his pals (whom I can now proudly call my own friends too). And Michael and I hit it off -- she is one of those people who is completely herself all the time. She's intelligent and quick-witted and sassy. And her son, affectionately nicknamed Bean, has all of those qualities already. It's incredible how interested he is in the world around him, and you can tell he is going to grow up to be a really awesome feminist and general rockstar.
Recently, Michael and I got to catch up (with our friend Katie too!) at Michael's new house --which is beautiful, by the way-- and one of the first things I noticed was a large framed print of the above image ready to be hung up on her walls. I don't know if it was the delight from hanging out with these two awesome ladies, or if it was the rush of seeing one of my images printed and framed, but I knew it was going to be a wonderful night. And I couldn't have been more right. It was a night full of deep honest discussion, lots of laughter, and much needed girl talk.
Michael, thank you to you and Bean for doing this session with me. I couldn't have had a better morning in the park with you guys.
I couldn't even handle how adorable these last two photos are. Bean seemed all about the hugs and kisses from his mama, but the second she planted a smooch on his cheek, he let her know how he felt about that! :)
