I almost feel like this wedding needs no introduction, because you can clearly see how excellent the entire day was just from the photos. From a bridesmaid who makes excellent faces in the backgrounds of photos (and has an excellent *drops mic* at the end of her toast), to a very emotional mother-son dance, and a brotherly proposal using Cassie's rings, the entire day was full of joy, lots of giggles, and beautiful, loving people. Oh, and there was an epic "pass the rings down the line of groomsmen" maneuver. Impressive. On top of it all, Cassie and her friend Rilla made the most excellent Harry Potter bouquets for all the ladies, using pages from a Harry Potter book (was it Prisoners of Azkaban? Goblet of Fire?). So you know I'm obsessed.
Matt and Cassie got married at the Peoria Luthy Botanical Garden, and we had to push back the ceremony a bit because right as the ceremony was supposed to start, there was the biggest downpour EVER. Luckily, the storm stopped quickly and we were able to wipe down the chairs (I knew those groomsmen were handy to have around!) and go on with the outdoor ceremony as planned. And I loved the Peoria Zoo for their wedding reception - and it was so neat to see additional Harry Potter blooms scattered around the space. What a cool wedding!
Cassie and Matt, it was a total and complete honor to be a part of your wedding day - you are a remarkable couple, and I'm glad we got to nerd out a little bit together about Harry Potter. You guys are great! I hope married life is treating you well. xoxo!
