You’re probably here because you heard about the Empowerment Studio community — either from a friend, or from attending an in-person event at the Empowerment Studio in Kansas City, MO, OR from somewhere online (maybe you’ve seen one of Kinzie’s TikToks? or a post someone from the Empowerment Team wrote on Instagram?).

Either way, we’re glad you’re here and we’d love to welcome you to come hang out with us more!

In case you don’t know much about us, a brief description —

The Empowerment Studio is an online and in-person gathering space for awesome humans who are ready to make the world a more kind place together.

Our online space (hosted on Mighty Networks) functions as a central hub for everything we do in the Empowerment Studio — it’s where you find out about upcoming events, share selfies and compliments, and indulge in excellent company. The online space is real fun: we have a book club that meets online, and we’ve also got groups for gardening and plants, a space where we can talk openly about budgeting/money, a group for witchy/tarot stuff, a parenting group, and After Dark (where we talk about sex and bodies and also just like, the things we don’t usually say out loud), and lots more. It’s lovely.

In addition to our vibrant community space, our membership gets you access to a whole bunch of community events -- including Togetherness Time, a monthly in-person event in KCMO. Togetherness Time is different each month; sometimes we do a themed event like a Clothing Swap, sometimes it’s a pool party or a dance party, sometimes we get really witchy and do a Full Moon ceremony.

Financial support and sustainability:

(aka why is there a paid option?)

The Empowerment Studio community is available to all humans who really want to be here. Full stop, that is our priority. Come join us!! It’s important to us that we make our community as accessible as possible to everyone.

That said, it costs money to make our community happen, and so we make it possible for folks to support the work we do here financially, starting at $1/month, if they are so inclined. Our intention is that people can ebb and flow in their financial contributions as it aligns for them:

 

  • So you might sign up right now with a free membership so you can start hanging out with us, but a few months down the road, you might decide to contribute some money towards the sustainability of the Empowerment Studio — at which point you can upgrade to a paid membership.

  • Or maybe you’ll choose to sign up at a monthly rate now, but then at some point, decide to put your dollars towards something else. That’s fine too! We’re always thrilled to have you.

 

We're anti-capitalist AF here at the Empowerment Studio and we TRULY want to have you here no matter your budget. Investing in our community with your time and energy is also dreamy and magical of you!

Your support makes it possible to:

  • Host incredible Empowerment Studio events for low- or no-cost to community members, 

  • Run this platform where we can connect in a space that is ours (rather than another platform where we’re at the mercy of the facebook overlords, for example…), 

  • Support the studio where we photograph Empowerment Boudoir Sessions and host community events, 

  • Pay the Empowerment Team for the work we do to make it all run.

So who's behind the Empowerment Studio?

Hi, I’m Kinzie!

Hiya! I’m Kinzie. I’m the founder of the Empowerment Studio, which started as a facebook group back in 2015. I also own the Empowerment Photographer, a boudoir photography studio in Kansas City, MO, where I guide my clients to see their bodies in revolutionary and deeply kind ways.  

I cannot do this alone, though. It also takes an amazing team to help make this company run. We've got a small but mighty Empowerment Team (Libby! David! Donnie! El!) that I adore with my whole heart:
