The Empowerment Experience is a 6-month group program that spans from April through September, 2025 where we combine the two things we do best in the Empowerment Studio: community and photography.

Dream Photoshoot:

• A co-created and styled full-length solo session. This could be a full boudoir session in the Empowerment Studio, or it could be a fantasy outdoor session in elaborate costume. Or a fabulous styled session on location. Really, this session can be anything we dream up together. Don’t worry, I’ll help you plan!

• You get ALL your digitals that will tell the story of your journey, and the session we created together.

• We will co-create and design this session throughout the course of the Empowerment Experience. The entire photoshoot experience (exploration, planning, photoshoot, image reveal, product delivery) will happen within the 6 months of this program.

Community offerings:

• A small-group community (mostly online) with regular prompts to encourage connection, self-discovery, and growth

• Live group calls where each person will have the chance to problem solve, strategize, build connection, and grow in the direction you want to go

• Weekly guided selfie prompts - get more comfortable with ALL of you

• Tons of awesome Empowerment Tools -- selfie tips and tricks, creative ideas for working with your brain instead of against it, interviews, worksheets, and more. We'll begin with the materials we've already made for you and create more according to what YOU want and need

• Monthly group events [both online and in person] to connect and build community (if you live far from KCMO, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered)

• Guided remote Selfie Session with Kinzie and a group photoshoot experience (you’ll be solo in your pictures!)

The Empowerment Experience is a vibrant hub buzzing with individuals eager to shed self-doubt and embrace their true selves. Picture people gathering for personalized photo shoots, engaging in heartfelt conversations during self-reflection exercises, and bonding over shared experiences in a supportive community.

In this group program, you'll not only notice personal growth within yourself but you'll ALSO have the opportunity to visually mark your transformation through a collection of both self-portraits and professionally captured photographs.

We'll have an online small-group community (hosted on Mighty Networks) where most of our work takes place. That's where we'll do weekly selfie prompts and cheer each other on. Additionally, we'll have live group video calls where we come together to discuss our progress, share insights, and support one another in real-time.

In addition to our online interactions, there will be opportunities for in-person gatherings and activities in Kansas City, MO, where we can deepen our connections and further explore our growth journey together. All of these gatherings will have a way you can participate from afar.

Your session will take place within the 6 months of our group program (so between April and September). Most of the sessions will take place in months 3-4, but I’m sure some exceptions will occur! That’s the beauty of this being such a custom experience — we get to figure it out together, and make sure it’s aligned for everyone involved!

No! We can do literally whatever we want to do!

To me, boudoir is a really expansive genre — here in the Empowerment Studio, it’s really all about taking time to make incredible photos of the exact person who is in front of me. And that can be with as many (or as few) clothes on as you want.

So if you want to do a fancy-pants session wearing a tux or ballgown, let’s do it! You want to run around as a faerie in a sunflower field at golden hour? Yes please. Branding photos of you at work, or doing your craft — let’s goooo! Cosplay vibes in front of a backdrop? Be still my heart.

My main goal is that I want to make you feel amazing, and create photos of you that you recognize yourself in, and that you’ll have forever. Book a session, hop on a call with me, and let’s dream up something awesome together!

We’ve got a bunch of clients who have traveled in to Kansas City, MO for their photoshoots over the years — including about half of the members of the first cohort of the Empowerment Experience. I've had clients travel in the last year alone from Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Massachusetts, and Colorado! Oh and northern Illinois. And two from North Carolina! And St. Louis! Did I miss anywhere?? People make an experience of it, stay in an Airbnb near the studio, indulge in local restaurants (I've got recs!). It's like, next level, self-care, empowerment experience!! 😍

Getting specific:

If you sign up for the FULLL Empowerment Experience (which includes a 1:1 dream portrait session), you will probably want to plan to travel to Kansas City for that session - we can schedule it any time within the 6 months of the program (so, from April-September 2025). Alternately, you can pay travel fees to bring me to you, if you're dreaming of doing a session in your home/city/on location somewhere else! We've got options, and that's the beauty of a custom photoshoot experience -- we get to make this work for the actual humans involved (that's you and me!).

If you're joining us for the Community Tier, you might still want to join us in person in Kansas City at least once (for the in-person photoshoot gatherings at the Empowerment Studio) but you absolutely don't have to! Many of our events, and a lot of our connection, will be taking place online. We are going to be doing a group Empowerment Party, where each member present will get to do a 1:1 photoshoot with me, but we can also do a remote session to still deliver you an incredible photography experience, even if we're not in the same place. I’ll honor the fuck outta your pronouns (and if you’re wanting to try on a different set of pronouns than you use in your day-to-day life, let me know). We love our queer and trans clients, and we do everything we can to make you feel, not only welcome, but CELEBRATED in your identities.

We realized that even without the epic photoshoot, there are still several opportunities to hop in front of the camera, and there will also be epic community vibes accessible to more people. So we created the Community Tier, which still has LOTS of impact but with a lower price tag (6 monthly payments of $500; reduced rate scholarships and extended payment plans are available!)
